Abbey Community College’s Transition Year students once again wowed audiences with their spectacular 2026 production, A Musical Journey Through Time. This year’s vibrant show celebrated iconic music from the 1960s through to the 2000s, with every Transition Year student taking to the stage to perform energetic dance routines and much-loved songs representing each decade. Adding an exciting new dimension, one class group embraced a dedicated musicals theme, bringing famous stage classics to life with outstanding performances that captivated the audience.
Creativity and enthusiasm shone throughout the production, enhanced by stunning costumes and a palpable sense of confidence, all nurtured under the expert guidance of musical director Ms. Lapthorne and Mr. Chris Harris.

A special highlight was the involvement of staff, who performed alongside each class group.Their involvement was a wonderful reflection of the strong sense of community and the positive, supportive relationships that are at the heart of Abbey Community College. Parents and guardians were invited to attend and thoroughly enjoyed the show, which was filled with nostalgia, talent, and joy. The show was a resounding success, and we are already looking forward to next year’s performance!
