The Parents Association is proud to play an active role in the Abbey’s community. We seek to promote active involvement of parents within the Association and elect parents representatives to the Board of Management of the School.
The objectives of our Parents Association are to:
- advance the wellbeing of the students of the College in the most holistic way possible.
- act as an advisory body, representing the views of parents on school policies and activities.
- arrange talks on topics of interest to parents, e.g. guest speaker on parenting/discipline etc
- raise funds and utilise the funds in agreement with the Principal and the Board of Management.
- assist in the provision of extra-curricular activities, as requested by the school

Our parents association is a member of the National Parents Council Post Primary (NPCPP). As NPCPP members we follow their recommended guidelines for Parents' Associations.
New Members
In order for us to go from strength to strength, it is important to have new parents with new ideas involved in the Committee. As parents ourselves, we understand the demands on your time and any involvement with the association or its activities is greatly appreciated. It is also a great way of meeting other parents.
