At Abbey Community College, we believe that kindness is the foundation of a positive and inclusive school environment. We uphold the Bí Cineálta Procedures to Prevent and Address Bullying Behaviour. Our new Bí Cineálta Anti‑Bullying Policy reflects these national guidelines and reinforces our belief that kindness is fundamental to a positive and inclusive school experience.

Whole-School Collaboration
The development of our Bí Cineálta Anti-Bullying Policy was a collaborative process involving the entire school community. Senior management undertook specialised training, followed by comprehensive whole-staff training to ensure consistency and understanding. Student and parent voices were central to the process, with dedicated focus groups and surveys gathering valuable insights. Feedback and suggestions on the draft policy were invited from students, staff, and parents, ensuring that the final document reflected the needs and values of our community. The policy was then ratified by the Board of Management and officially implemented for the 2025–2026 academic year.
