Our Learning Leaders are a group of enthusiastic and committed students who have a genuine interest in learning, teaching, and supporting others. Central to their role is empowering peers to become more responsible, confident, and active participants in their own learning through collaboration, reflection, and shared experience.

Student voice is highly valued in Abbey Community College, and our Learning Leaders play a vital role in ensuring that this voice is heard. By working alongside their peers and teachers, they offer a unique student perspective that helps shape how learning and teaching develops across the school. We are proud of their leadership and inspired each year by their initiative and dedication.

Learning Leaders have been involved in a wide range of student‑led initiatives, including peer support for revision for Assessment Zone exams, facilitating student voice focus groups for School Self‑Evaluation and Oide Training Days, and creating practical revision resources for teachers that students find most useful. To ensure accessibility and impact, all strategies, supports, and resources developed by the Learning Leaders are shared with students through their Year Group Microsoft Teams, promoting consistent communication and encouraging wider engagement across the school community.
